In this week’s sermon, we continue our series “Last Words.” This week we look at the 3rd and 4th statements that Jesus makes from the cross that show his solitary state in the midst of his death. It is important to look at and contemplate this in order to grasp the gravity of the crucifixion in order to grasp the gravity of the resurrection. We cannot have one without the other, as easy or more pleasant as it might be to rush the cross in order to get to the empty tomb.
