We are building a home for the family, a lighthouse for the lost, a legacy for the next generation.
FBC West has outgrown its walls. The next chapter of our story is ready to be built — and we are inviting you to help us build it.
THE VISION
We are relocating
FBC West has been growing steadily for three decades and we have simply outgrown our current facility. We are landlocked at our present location with no room to expand. But this is not a crisis — it is a calling. God has positioned us to build something that will serve West and surrounding communities for the next century.
Our growing church family needs space to gather, worship, learn, and do life together. The new facility will be designed with every generation in mind — from the nursery to the senior adult ministry.
We are not just building for the people already here. We are building for the people who have not yet found a church home. A visible, accessible, welcoming facility is itself an act of mission.
The families who founded this church built something that blessed us for over a century. We now have the opportunity to do the same for the next generation. That is a privilege we take seriously.
CAMPAIGN PROGRESS
Where we stand
Every gift — large or small — moves us closer to the goal. We are asking everyone to pray before they decide, and then to give in faith as an act of worship.
We are asking our church family to participate at whatever level God leads. Every person has a role in this — our prayers, our presence, and our resources.
Giving to the relocation campaign is separate from your regular tithe and offering. Both matter. Both are acts of worship.

THE PLAN
Campaign Timeline
Here is where we have been and where we are headed. We will keep this updated as milestones are reached.
Vision and planning
The Needs Assessment Committee was formed and met for almost a year, researching our needs, meeting with consultants, touring other facilities, studying demographics, and dreaming together.
Campaign launch
Public introduction of the Moving Forward campaign, congregation-wide vision presentation, relocation committees formed.
Property and fundraising
Property evaluation and selection, active fundraising phase, architectural planning begins as funding allows.
Design and permitting
Architect selection, design development, permitting process, and construction bid process.
Construction and move
Phase one: we will build a multipurpose facility and move in. Phase two: we will raise the funds necessary and build a new worship center. God willing, we will walk through those doors together.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
What people are asking
We will be as transparent as possible throughout this process. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often.
Why do we need to relocate instead of expand?
We are landlocked at our current location. Further expansion would not meet our future needs and would be a burden on our neighbors.
Have you already purchased a piece of property?
Yes. The congregation voted to buy 10.4 acres on Grady Calvary Rd. not far from I-35.
Will we sell our current building?
That decision has not been made yet and will be brought before the church membership at the appropriate time. We are committed to full congregational involvement in major decisions like this one.
How is the campaign giving different from my regular tithe?
Your tithe and regular offering fund the ongoing ministry of the church. The relocation campaign is a separate, above-and-beyond commitment specifically for the building project.
Can I pledge an amount over multiple years?
Not yet. For now, we are receiving pledges for 2026. Our goal is to raise $2,000,000 by the end of the year.
How will I be kept informed of progress?
We will provide regular updates through Sunday announcements, this webpage, our church email list, and periodic town hall meetings. Transparency is a commitment we are making to our church family.
