About Amanda

Amanda was born in Dallas and grew up a preacher’s kid in different parts of Texas. She has a passion for teaching, whether in church or school, and was blessed to be a teacher in Mexico. She graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She and her husband James live in Penelope and have two grown children. She loves spending time with her family, researching genealogy, reading, and working in the yard. She is blessed and humbled to serve the Lord and the families of FBC West as Children’s Ministry director, and is easily the most organized person you will ever meet.
